I’ve been a fan of Nick Hornby for a long time — since I read High Fidelity a few years back. I really enjoy his writing style — very down to earth. A lot of folks have written about the gimmick of this book — 4 people who all are thinking about committing suicide on New Year’s Eve meet up and start hanging out together — and it’s a good start. The book, while entertaining, is not as good as some of his others, I think, but still worth reading.
