State of Denial, by Bob Woodward

I’ve got a lot of thoughts about this, none of them good. Kathy & I just watched a show on PBS about Dr. Seuss (Independent Lens), though, and I think he said something that’s appropriate. 2 weeks before he died, when asked what slogan he’d like to leave for the US, here’s what he said:

“We can and we’ve got to do better than this.”
