As a die-hard, life-long cynic (certainly when it comes to the realm of politics) I find myself amazed that I share the same sense of hope/enthusiasm that you expressed. Obama does indeed appear to be one of those 'once in a lifetime' type of inspirational leaders that I've read about but never before experienced.

But I also have a nagging dread that Senator Obama will be stopped by nefarious back-room deals and the usual old dirty politics, or by the desperate and crazed HRC which has proven at this point that she will say and do absolutely anything to get elected -now or in 2012- even if it means handing this thing over on a plate to Clueless McCain.

"he shows that leadership can inspire without dumbing things down" (...) "it gives me hope". Exactly!

If you don't elect Obama, send him to France, we may have some need for him over here! :-D
