2nd book in the Landover series, which I read first about 20 years ago. Not that good; not as fun as the first one.

I’ve never read any Landover books (although he just published a new one.) But, have you read the Shannara books! AMAZING! And Word and the Void is right up there. (Actually they are connected, as Brooks has just revealed in The Genesis of Shannara).
